Terms of Use

1. What LessonFive is

LessonFive gives parents short, parent-guided lessons to do with their child. You read each lesson aloud, your child answers out loud, and you tap what they chose. Lessons take about five minutes. Your child does not use the app directly and does not need to touch the screen.

Our lesson content is reviewed by a qualified educator. Where a pack has been reviewed, we say so on that pack.

2. What LessonFive is not

LessonFive teaches everyday skills through parent-guided practice. It is not a health service.

  • We do not diagnose or treat any condition.
  • We do not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
  • We do not guarantee any outcome or change in your child's behavior.
  • LessonFive is not a crisis service and is not monitored.

If your child's difficulty is severe, lasts for weeks, or gets in the way of school, friendships, eating, sleep, or everyday activities, please speak to a teacher, doctor, pediatrician, school counselor, or psychologist. If your child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and be the parent or guardian of the child you set up in the app.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account. Tell us at info@lessonfive.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You may set up a child profile using their first name and age. Do not enter your child's full name, address, school, or any other identifying detail. We only need a first name so the lessons read naturally.

4. Free access

Lesson 1 of every pack is free, with no card required. You can use those free lessons for as long as you like.

5. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Full access to all lessons requires a subscription.

  • We offer a free trial. A payment method is required to start it. The length of the trial and the price are shown before you subscribe.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and your payment method is charged.
  • We will email you before your trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown when you subscribed, until cancelled.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Prices may change. If they do, we will tell you before the change applies to you.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in your account settings.

  • Cancelling stops future billing. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account reverts to free.
  • Your child's progress is kept, and you can resume or resubscribe at any time.
  • We do not provide refunds for the remainder of a period you have already paid for, except where required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings.

Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. It cancels your subscription immediately, with no refund for any remaining paid period, and removes your account, your child's profile, and all progress. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

If you only want to stop being billed, cancel instead. That keeps your child's progress.

8. Our content

The lessons, stories, questions, artwork, and everything else in LessonFive belong to us or our licensors.

You may use them with your own family, for your own personal use. You may not copy, share, republish, sell, or distribute them, and you may not use them to train an AI model or build a competing product.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. That includes trying to access parts of it you have not paid for, interfering with it, attempting to break its security, or using it in a way that breaks the law.

We may suspend or end your access if you do.

10. Availability

We aim to keep LessonFive available, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, add, or remove features, and we may add or retire packs over time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we will tell you. Continuing to use LessonFive after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded or limited.

To the extent the law allows, LessonFive is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable and the law allows us to limit that liability, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

14. Who we are and how to contact us

LessonFive is operated by LifeSchool Packs (ABN 86 796 280 194), based in Australia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean LifeSchool Packs. "You" means the parent or guardian using LessonFive.
